I’m glad Dirge made an appearance here. I know he was more of a comic/animated character, and I honestly don’t know much about him, but I always found his armor to look really menacing

You could’ve made it an even 10 with:

Togorian: Felinoids who could grow up to three meters tall (basically a Siberian Tiger with human intelligence that can walk upright)

Barabel: Big reptilians who can tank blasters bolts long enough to dismember the guy shooting them.

An interesting fact about the Gen'Dai is that their lifespan is so long, they tend to literally go insane. Being near-immortal when it comes to one's lifespan is more of a curse than a blessing. Living for thousands of years, accumulating knowledge, makes their species no strangers to wisdom - many Gen'Dai become thinkers and philosophers, but this kind of overaccumulation of information also makes them extremely susceptible to sociopathic nihilism, giving them a predisposition for sadism and bloodlust. Such is, more or less, the case with the infamous bounty hunter - Durge.

When you think about it wookies have an extremely energy efficient bodies because the caloric intake is actually a bit high for humans but the minimum for wookies

Leia most likely only THOUGHT she strangled Jabba with her chain, but was ACTUALLY instinctively using force choke and/or force strength. After all, , she was the daughter of a Force demigod and she REALLY wanted to strangle Jabba. Besides, chain or no chain, there is no way her physical strength would have been enough to strangle a Hutt.

I like how for Trandoshans, they've basically given up on being able to kill Chewbacca but just surviving a fight with him is considered being a god-like hunter.

Ewoks were also surprisingly strong for their size. Despite being only 2-3 feet tall, they were more than capable of beating StormTroopers to death with clubs. Ewoks were sometimes called mini Wookiees as a result.

I'm glad you brought up the Trandoshans religion, I was about to look down on them for hunting and enslaving wookies, but now I know that it's culturally insensitive.

Gammoreans are forgotten, but the most deceptive looking powerhouse is a Noghri at only 4'4", if a wookie is a Grizzly bear a Noghri is a Wolverine...

Also I love how Star Wars tends to shy away from more gruesome violence but has peoples arms getting ripped off as if they’re megablocks pieces, can’t use the usual “lasers cauterize the wound” excuse there

In the D6 Star Wars RPG I saw an unofficial source put Gen Dai just slightly under Wookies for strength. There's something to be said for having a skeletal structure I guess. Honestly I'm glad Dave Filoni didn't try to shoe horn Dirge into the Clone Wars. I prefer to remember him as the relentless monster he was in the comic books and Tartakovskys clones wars.

What about the Devaronians? They’re males are super strong, fire resistant and we’ve seen one survive getting slammed by a bulkhead door.

Fantastic list, as always. I would add Yuuzhan Vong and Whipids, personally. Yuuzhan Vong were physiologically similar to a larger sized human being, but even before receiving biological modifications to their bodies they were strong enough to grapple with a Wookie and win. According to one of the books I still have, their average lifespan is shorter than a Human's (about 80 years maximum) due to their extremely harsh cultural lifestyle.

Whipids are gigantic hunter-gatherers who hail from their frozen home world of Toola. Like Wookies and Hutts, their ancestors had to contend with more vicious predators in order to survive, and their average natural lifespan is comparable to a Wookie's.

"The Yuzzem are a large powerful mammalian species similar to Wookiees. Most were enslaved during the reign of the Empire and taken from their home planet of Ragna III to do hard labor. They appear similar to Wookiees, but appearing more like werewolves. Their similarities to Wookiees have led people to believe the two share a common ancestor, but this has not been confirmed."

"Wookiees are generally peaceful creatures of the forests of Kashyyyk. They have a tribal society governed by a Chieftain. They are very tall, furry and powerful with a humanoid shape. They have extremely sharp rectractable claws, however it is considered a Tribal crime to use claws in combat. Aside from their stature Wookiee have laser crossbows which can also be seen with mounted scopes. They are considered loyal friends, and commit life debts to people who save them - the most well-known being the life debt between Chewbacca and Han Solo."
