Exposing 15 dark secrets & parties of the golden age of Hollywood! You won’t believe this…

Old Hollywood is known for its glitz and glamour, and that's largely due to its shining stars. But celebrities during this time put up with a lot to make it big. You see, the Golden Age of Hollywood was a time between the '20s and '60s when the studio system ruled, meaning the Big Five studios controlled the film industry. These companies created stars like Marilyn Monroe and Judy Garland, but due to strict contracts, they controlled them in many ways too. Find out what actors and actresses agreed to in order to become rich and famous.

This pimp ish is JUST as prominent now as it was then. It's apparently a huge issue in kpop. Leo decaprio is rumored to pimp those model "girlfriends" of his to high paying Johns. Which is why he's usually only seen with them in a location where there's billionairs on yachts around. The modeling agencies then take a cut of her price. Allegedly. Same for Scott Disick. He's rumored to be doing the same with his model "girlfriends".

My grandmother used to say Hollywood was evil I didn't take her seriously at the time now I see how right she was.

One thing that is shocking and underreported is how often parents exploited their own children, or failed to protect them from predators as they pushed their kids into stardom. But it was not just Hollywood. The music industry, theater, college and Olympic athletics, have their own scandals.

I love that how as an independent creator you refuse to just make cookie cutter videos for ad monetization but rather talk about actual thought provoking subjects and advice that actually helps out your subscribers. It shows that you care about what you put out and are passionate about our best interests. Thanks, Karine. You're awesome.

A quote from Marilyn Monroe: "Hollywood is a place where they give you 50.000 dollars for a kiss and 50 cents for your soul."

A few years ago I watched a video called Hollywood Secrets that exposed all of this. At the end the narrator stated that if the public knew what these celebrities did and were into they'd support none of them. I never forgot that.

My mom always said she really felt sorry for famous people in Hollywood because of all the sexual abuse they have to endure and the drugs they had to take. I thought she was being extra….but then I discovered this channel 😳😳😳😳😳

Now you see why when a teenager would tell their parents, "Mom...Dad, I want to be an actor!"; their jaws would drop cause they knew what was to happen!

Hollywood has been dark since it's inception. The more research I come across about old Hollywood the more I'm not surprised by my findings. People are really messed up and once they see green they'll do anything to get it and keep it. It's just unfortunate that so many talented people had to suffer because of it. Couldn't even live your truth back then for fear of the blackmail/blackballing that took place. Very good video!! Keep it coming!! 💪🏾

This probably never stopped within the movie and music industry. I know a story that always made me feel weird was how Rihanna was discovered. Why was a grown man in a hotel room with a minor? Could she not have auditioned in a conference room or office? Now that I'm older and think back on it, it just sounds eerie now. Even though this was quoted in multiple articles, I'll say allegedly...the industry seems so dark

This happens even today! Do not minimize this reality. Nothing has changed, famous people are still suffering everything all the old stars had suffered! Rules never changed, the game continues!

FYI...In 1943 Dame Olivia Mary de Havilland’s seven-year contract ended, but Warner Bros. announced that she was not yet free to move on. The studio claimed that she owed them an additional six months for the time she was under suspension for refusing to perform in certain films. De Havilland fought back, suing and arguing that the contract was for seven years, suspension or not, and that Warner Bros. was violating labor law. In  the long term, it also changed the face of the movie business by encouraging other performers and filmmakers to strike out on their own and control their own destiny. Instead of relying on studios to create their image, more and more actors formed their own production companies or found projects to champion that suited their tastes and ambitions. KEEP UP UR AMAZING STORIES!!! I REALLY LOVE THEM♥️♥️♥️

When I was a kid I was always afraid of Hollywood, I didn’t understood why until few years back, I would always try to find answers as to how kids become famous and all these beautiful people and the veil was removed now when I see movies or shows I just feel bad for them

I've lived 40 miles from Hollywood for most of my life. I've never been star struck or had the urge to work in that industry. I do enjoy following my favorite stars.

I love your breakdowns, Karine! ♥️
None of this is shocking to me as my husband is an actor. His agent dropped him after he expressed that he no longer felt comfortable with kissing (or intimate) scenes after we began dating. Hollywood does not reward morals. 😖
I wonder how many talented people we will never get to enjoy because they don’t want to compromise their soul.🧐
