St. Paul Police releases body cam footage of Rep. John Thompson traffic stop

The St. Paul Police Department released body camera footage on Tuesday of a traffic stop earlier this month of Rep. John Thompson. The stop has garnered attention because Thompson still had a Wisconsin driver's license despite being a Minnesota resident – and lawmaker. The stop was also referenced at a rally by Thompson, claiming to be racially profiled.

This guy is a lawmaker? A deadbeat who cries racism for a highly professional officer issuing him a citation for breaking the law? What? What? What? WHAT? There needs to be a new law that makes it a felony to lie and spread rumors about police actions. It's getting absolutely pathetic and a large portion of communities will immediately side with the liar which could lead to violent protests and cops being hurt for DOING THEIR JOB. This is an absolute disgrace. Cops don't have hawk vision and look for the race of the driver. In the middle of the night all this officer saw was this "law maker" driving like an idiot. What a deadbeat not only for his children but a deadbeat at life.
