Quarkus framework : is this the end of Spring Boot ?

Quarkus claim to be a supersonic/subatomic Java framework that will bring "Developer Joy". Let's see in this short video what are these claims about and if Quarkus has really the potential to overcome the Spring Boot framework.

Simple and to the point. Extra like for why not move all code from spring boot to Quarkus.

Spring framework 1.0 came at around 2004, that was 19 years ago. I learned and used it since 2005. I think Quarkus will just drive spring boot better, it will not replace it.

it's that situation when spring dominates the market to the extent that for any projecto to switch to anythign else is close to impossible

So most of the performance boost comes from the mandatory usage of the native image running within a GraalVM? That's kind of disappointing because it is not really the framework doing the magic here.. The live reload feature is nice but nothing that spring boot does not offer. I have read about the live reload feature of spring boot devtools. I guess both utilize a restart of the server triggered by a resource change. The faster your application starts the better the experience. So as soon as spring boot also is able to support AOTC quarkus is pretty obsolete i guess.

Sadly people love "mainstream", even tho it is bloated, over engineered framework, with bad documentation, horrible error logging and slow development cycles. People love praising framework for features that they do not use, and flexing "fast setup" that is horrific to maintain or customize.

Looool quarkus is just another JEE who will fail.
Great lib for conferences.
If I would search à replacement for spring I would give a try to ktor or rust.
Right now kotlin+springboot+gradle is on point.
