So in 1970 the S&P dropped 21% in the first half of '70 and then rebounded 26.5% in the second half of the year.
So basically it was unchanged for the year, as when you lose 21% you need to gain 26.5% to get back to where you started.

The only thing we can trust Impotent powell to be, is to be impotent. The last time rates got above 2%, markets fell off a cliff. Everybody was crying and screaming for rates to come down. The Fed needs to burn the clown show down to ashes.
