People like OG really bring the neighborhood together. Sometimes you just need that positive spark.

I grew up at Venice beach. I’m 71. It’s changed at lot. I used to love the canals. I’m glad to see it is cleaned up and where people can enjoy it. Thank you for the video ❤

Bro the respect Peter gets when people see him in public is so awesome. He deserves it because everywhere he goes he shows respect and curiosity in people first.

OG has an awesome positive contagious energy. He has the ability to connect with tourists, cops, street vendors and homeless people. I instantly feel great after watching this video. We need more positive people like OG in this world!

Thank you so much for this update! I was in Venice 1, 2, and 3 years back and it was just horrific. I felt terrible for the merchants and residents. So glad to see they cleaned the place up.

Thanks for this video! I grew up in Venice from about `78 - `88...lived of California St. Moved to OR in `89 but the Boardwalk was always in my heart. Gangs, drugs, and homeless were just a fact of life growing up but the issues multiplied exponentially until the 2021 when it looked like tent cities. So glad that the community found a way to address some of the problems and take back the Boardwalk.

Glad to see the OGs taking the place back. It looks a lot more like it did in the 70s. The locals are doing a great job keeping it true.

Thank you, Peter for doing a return visit. It gives us in other cities some hope that things can/will get better.

I rented a house three blocks from the Beach with my 2 young kids in December 2016. We are from Germany and had a great time. I taught my kids how to skateboard in an hour and spent the rest of the trip skating and talking with the locals. Did we feel unsafe, no. Were there homeless? It was FULL of homeless, but it was a special place with its own vibe. My kids are now teenagers and STILL talk about Buddha the homeless guy they befriended and are always asking when we can go back.

My man skateboarding holding a camera and smoking a blunt at the same time was Epic! Only Peter can give this type of inside look into these communities he visits 👍

The joint-smoking-skater-dude section is probably the most Cali thing I have ever seen. 😂

One of the few travel youtubers who actually holds morals. To have respect you must first give respect and this is why Peter is a boss youtuber. Respect!

I'm glad Peter videos include the OG. One of the biggest issues as a Californian myself is a generation that thinks they have the solutions for everything by allowing everything as long as it doesn't hurt their feelings. Without thinking of the longterm effects with short-term solutions we will continue to create greater problems.
