Which Cordless Cutter Tool is Best: Worx or Warrior?
In this video we review the Worx WX081L Cutting tool, comparing it to Warrior Cordless Cutting Tool. We put both cutters to the challenge, using them as a cardboard cutter, and through other materials, papers, plastic packaging, carpeting and many other construction materials.

The Worx wx081l zipsnip cutting tool is about $38 on Amazon. The zipsnip cordless cutter takes about 5 hours to charge and will easily cut the 40-50 6 foot long cardboard boxes we use when installing flooring in our flip properties.

Just bought Warrior, for cutting out a piece of carpet. Wanted reviews, before opening the package. So, on your demonstration/review, it's worth $39 and I like the handle best. Hadn't thought of using it on boxes, so THANKS, will save time and energy!

Hey Jeff I have the Warrior cutter and and I found that it has it's limitations but overall it's a good cutter. Thanks

I use the RYOBI lithium cutter. Basically it’s the same as those 2 cutters. The only difference is that it has a removable battery that charges with a USB-C.

7:22 is when the cutting actually starts.

Thanks for the vid! 👍 I think I'll go for the Warrior because 1. There's a HF right near me. 2. I like enclosed hand guard on the Warrior. 3. It come with an extra blade. And I thinks its worth the extra $5 for those things.

I picked one up today for cutting carpet. I was really hoping to buy the Worx brand but nobody has it in stock around me and by the time I get it shipped (or shipped to store) I'd be done with a manual carpet blade.
With that said I did get to try it a bit on the carpet and it seems to work. We just have to cut the carpet into smaller pieces so we can have the garbage truck take it away (vs paying by the pound to take it to the dump about an hour away). And it will come in handy for the mountain of boxes we get. Again, we can load up the car and take it to cardboard drop-off while hoping that the container isn't full (no charge for dropping off cardboard). But I'd rather just put it in my recycling can.
I can say that I wish I had this around when I decided to get rid of two TV boxes (one 50" the other 65") that I still had laying around in the attic. Taking a razor to those things was very time consuming and I went through several blades as well.

Finally, I pick up the Warrior brand local for $27. So I have no complaints. And seeing that both models come with internal batteries, which is my largest turn-off. I would have preferred to just slap one of my existing Worx batteries onto the bottom (which also leads me to belive that someone is making this tool for worx). This would prevent me losing the tool when the battery goes bad.

Thanks for the review my worry is getting one to cut an old stair carpet off but Im worrying the bottom blade sharpener would get in the way of the blade being able to cut RIGHT ON the carpet itself. Where are no openings!

I agree with you I love the Magic Remote my 86" LG QThin TV came with I even bought an extra on on ebay when I misplaced my new one.

It's not a "proprietary" charger; I just bought the Workd zip snip, it's a STANDARD 6mm barrel connector at 12Volts. If you have a universal charger with multiple tips, it will fit it.

Hello, thank you for the review. Where can I buy the black table you are using?

Do you think this will work on a 6 mm rubber sheet?

These definitely share the same guts. The Warrior is typically about 10% less expensive than the Worx, comes with an extra blade ($8 value), and Harbor Freight has a much better return policy.

I just bought one for £7.99 UK its identical but made by FERREX. From a supermarket called Aldi. The specs are the same too.

Neither. I got a Matework branded version on Amazon Prime, and I nominate it for best in class. I chose this one because it charges with USB-C and it includes a blow-mold case. I know a lot of folks hate those cases, but I wanted one, and Amazon was selling cases for the Worx at half the cost of the tool! As of April 2022, the Warrior is $34.99, Worx $38.63 and the Workmate $39.98. The Workmate more closely resembles the loved but no longer available Skil than the Warrior or the Worx with the safety in the same spot instead of up on top. The Skil and Workmate are both 240 no-load RPM while the Warrior and Worx are 260 which makes me think the 240 RPM ones have a gear reduction for more torque. There are tons of comments on the Worx site asking about how to buy that stupid charger that everyone loses, so USB was key for me.
