SRv6 uses ipv6 which is 40 Bytes

SRv6+ uses 2 bytes

In any case its ASIC which is going to hold forwarding table to forward SRv6 or SRV6+ packets, therefore if its a 2 bytes or 40 byte header shouldn't matter when it comes to performance of forwarding ....


hence, in this case does it really matters if we use SRv6 or if my ASIC is large enough to accommodate more number of IPV6 entries then SRV6 should work smoothly ....
