I could never leave my child unattended. I stayed awake for three days in the hospital after he was born. Checking on him constantly when in the nursery. Then the staff said we could leave. They put my wife in wheelchair and started walking us out. I asked where my child was. They said he had to stay cause, of not having pooped or something stupid. I started going off. Lucky for me my brother was customer service manager. I called him and told him what was happening. I told him he needed to come tell these people my son is leaving with us or there would be more than my son staying in the hospital that night. I might have stayed in hospital or jail that night. I wasn't going to leave without my son Without a physical altercation.
