Great talent and so beautiful. If she ever loses her voice she could be a hypnotist with those eyes. Wow is all I can say...

This was her 3rd Grammy nomination in 4 years after For Your Eyes Only and Telefone as best female pop artist
She had 2 awesome duets with Kenny Rogers and Prince
Outstanding vocalist always tuned and with a voice with a big range from low to high notes :)
Plus keyboards' luxury here with Bruce Hornsby

The 80s really wan't afraid to stick some random brass into the music, and I love it.

Sheena Easton was the only artist in the 1980s to have at least one top hit on the four biggest Billboard charts for songs (Hot 100 Chart, Hot A/C, Hot Country Singles & Hot R/B Singles).

Her biggest hit on the Hot 100 was "Morning Train (9 To 5)" that her only#1 hit on the Hot 100 Chart.
She went to #1 on the Hot Country Singles Chart with "We've Got Tonight" - a duet that she did with Kenny Rogers (it was a cover of Bob Seger's original).
She had five top 10 hits on the Hot A/C Singles Chart with her last one being "Almost Over You" in 1983 that went to #4
Though she was featured on Prince's "U Got The Look, " the song didn't make the top 10 on the Hot R/B Singles Chart, but her last ever top 10 song on any chart was "The Lover In Me" which peaked at #5 on that chart in 1989 (it went to #2 on the Hot 100 Chart).

I would recommend anyone that has not had the pleasure of hearing her voice to go down that "rabbit hole." She was a great singer.

You can see why Prince liked her. Honestly, I loved her slower stuff even more. I prefer her Wind Beneath My Wings to Bette’s because it felt more sincere v. a case of vocal showmanship. Of course, I think When He Shines, For Your Eyes Only (for the James Bond movie), and Almost Over You are my favorites along with her duet with the great Kenny Rogers, We’ve Got Tonight.

I loved how you really got into this song, Dereck! She gets even nastier in a song called "Sugar Walls" from the same album. "Strut" is definitely funky and groovy, so I thought it would be a more fun choice! 😃

When I first started hearing her in the early 80s I never knew she was Scottish. She does a great duet with Kenny Rogers We've Got Tonight

You see Bruce Hornsby rocking the keyboards there and lip syching along with the "baby doll" part.

He would soonafter have himself a solid solo career of his own, scoring a sixpack of Top 40 hits.
