10k is best for everyday wear the higher you go in gold k the more wear will show on the chain

I was under the assumption that it all matters on the metals you use. Good jewlers can make a 10k look like an 18k.

Were the chains flash plated? If so, you won’t be able to see a difference in 10k vs 14k etc.
