Silbermöwe | European herring gull (Îles Chausey)

Am Strand von Port-Marie (Grande Île) setzte sich diese Silbermöwe (Larus argentus) zu mir auf einen großen Felsen. Sie zeigte wenig Scheu, was bei Möwen nicht wirklich überraschend ist. Vermutlich war sie die Gegenwart von Touristen und somit daran gewöhnt, dass die immer einige Leckereien dabei haben. Obwohl der schöne Vogel von mir nichts bekam, wartete sie doch eine ganze Weile geduldig, bis sie schließlich anderswo ihr Glück versuchte.

On the beach of Port-Marie (Grande Île), this herring gull (Larus argentus) sat down with me on a large rock. It showed little shyness, which is not really surprising in gulls. The gull was probably used to the presence of tourists and thus to the fact that they always have some treats with them. Although the beautiful bird got nothing from me, it waited patiently for quite a while until it finally tried its luck elsewhere.
