Civ 5 AI Only Timelapse: Battle for Oasis

People wandering upon endless sands finally found the salvation, the giant oasis was a perfect source of life, but all leaders knew from the beginning, there is no space for everyone. First cities were founded in the most favorable places, but then empires began to grow deeper into the desert to provide the army with gold and the economy with production. Over time the Oasis itself became a legend in distant colonies, few knew if it was real, however, nobody doubted the reality of the great wars that had erupted. The only one will be able to unite the all pieces into one empire, but everyone shall pay the price for that.

Ending (When huge and powerful Rome stands against Celts and Germans, and then Germans just eat celts and they destroy Rome) seems pretty historically accurate...

When Germany spawned next to the Aztecs who had 6 cities, I worried frantically
When Germany had inferior land troops and no air force compared to Rome at the onset of the Great War for the Oasis, I silently freaked out
When Germany started losing Warsaw and Krakow (5:00) in the war against Rome, I thought it was over
When Germany had 0 troops and Rome somehow had more troops, taking Cardiff, Truror and Dubiln (5:14), I accepted Germany's fate
When Germany managed to retake Warsaw, and build up forces, I became relieved and cheered for Germany again
When Germany built up a surprise force and took Kyoto, I knew it was over for Japan.

It was so scary when Augustus was pushing hard into Bismarck, but then the Panzers came at the exact right time and won the game! :D

This is one of my favourite episodes, the oasis idea is great because he funnels all the civs capitals close to each other, making for some sick ass gamplay
