The band name is pronounced “In Excess”. Such a huge band at the time. This is definitely on the slower side of their discography.

INXS' album "Kick" (this song included) was one of those albums that was crucial in defining the decade that was the 80's. "Devil Inside", "New Sensation", and "Need You Tonight/Facinate" are more than enough evidence of this.

The layering of instruments in this song is so deep, yet so well balanced. Great string intro. Drums driving at the perfect moments. Great clean guitar riff that is simple, yet grabbing. The slow but flowing bass groove. Saxophone out of nowhere. Mike's amazing voice, and then great harmonization later in the song. This song was a clinic on how to write a ballad.
