Farnham is a nice town. They should have kept the old outdoor swimming pool though.
The surrounding villages are even nicer and the heathland and forests are excellent.
Ieft in early 80s and it hasn’t really changed except a lot of the old family shops have gone sadly replaced by boring eateries and cafes which are the same in every market town these days.
Of course it’s totally unaffordable for the vast majority of people and to sustain the mortgage there it’s the daily commute into London which isn’t cheap either.
But I was lucky to grow up there.

I was a pupil at Weydon Lane school in Farnham circa 1958. our Honour Governor was Formula 1 World Champion Mike Hawthorn who owned the Jaguar dealership in East Street, just before you reach the Albion Pub. It no longer exists, the Jaguar dealers that is..
