I have a 1994 STR-D1015 receiver. It was the highest end of the regular lineup and was actually an entry-level ES receiver with the same high current parallel/push-pull amplifier. I love it! I have it hooked up to my 1994 Infinity SM 102, 65, SM video surround system. With an Interlude subwoofer. That equipment is gorgeous! Don't ever sell it!

I advise turning the power amp on AFTER the pre amp, with some amps you might get a power on pop which can easily blow a tweeter

I always love to see those high end Sony audio products especially the ES class, one of the top of the line beautiful design and the hardware still the best . Still very good maintained well 👍🏻

Man, back then, activating your Hi-Fi felt like activating a space ship. I used to own a pair of those APM speakers between 1989 and 2007. They produced the purest base I’ve ever heard.
