Thank you for giving us a glimpse into msfs 2024. I’m holding off on the install for a few months until the bugs are ironed out. In the meantime, my winwing efis showed up today…..so I’ll hook it up with my fcu and get flying in the fenix in msfs2020! Enjoy the new sim. Keep up the amazing work.

After 01:00 (Weds), having been with the sim trying to get into it since launch time 16:00 (Tues), I got in with a full compliment of aircraft I think and things working. I'd got in after the very first download from launch time within an hour but nothing working well and it crashed trying to spawn into an airport. This happened another time after restarts and the numerous queues and server error messages. I was watching you during this time. I'm now sitting with the Cessna 172 going through the bindings to my Velocity One Flightstick! I had the main control surfaces but flaps were mapped to the rotary wheel on the stick! Going to be a long night.

After playing for a bit today.. MSFS2024 will be my go to for general aviation/career mode. But any long haul airline flights will remain in msfs2020 until the Fenix and all my other mods works for MSFS2024.

We were promised astounding detailed graphics. However, it appears my glasses must be dirty as everything appears blurred and in less detail than in MSFS2020!

I’m excited for MSFS 2025 but I am a serious flight simmer who only uses vatsim. I will only buy this sim once it is stable and all the addons work. Until then. It’s fun to watch all the streamers get annoyed about download times

I heard about a milions simmers got this problem regarding Queue, 97% download etc… maybe i was lucky? Sorry for all of you guys but Nothing happend to me, everything worked fine and smootly. I tried VR to and it work perfectly. I guess is depending on other major things.

MSFS 24 willy be fully optimised in 2027 just before MSFS 28 is announced. LOL MSFS is now a live service akin to COD.

It is beyond damning that not even basic server load testing was done. No QA/QC department...talk about offloading all testing onto all those who bought early!

My first impressions of MSFS2024
As expected it installed fine but trying to get connected and start a flight was not so good. I eventually managed to get into the sim this morning after LOTS of restarts (and swearing)
Once inside the sim it looks sleek and well thought out until you try to start a freeflight! I thought I was back in ARMA 3! Lots of walking around and it took me 20 minutes to discover how to enter the cockpit. Once inside the aircraft (TBM930) the view system is as expected, total s***!. I gave up trying to start a flight after 30 minutes of frustration.
Final Verdict
I'm sure MSFS2024 will (eventually) be one hell of a flight sim, but until MS sort themselves out and decide who they are catering for i.e. XBOX Gamers or Flight Simmers I won't be uninstalling MSFS2020 anytime soon.

What do we want to see?? We want to see the product we paid money for working as intended. What we dont want to see is a stream of 7 hours that did not go anywhere. We do not expect you to stream for so long..it is not healthy for your body and mental health.
Maybe Asobo should consider stoping people purchasing and overloading the system for now and sort out the mess they created first.

It’s a complex computer program. Anyone who’s gone through the launch of a new system had to expect major hiccups.
I had already decided to wait about 6 months to let the waters settle and bugs be worked out. Thanks to all of you brave souls who are taking point on this new adventure.

One of the reasons for 20 years agoo i switch to apple. Enough blue screens and sandhours. But the biggest idiot is wrting this message :-D Looking at all the youtube video's about the 2024 version, i bought a pc again! And this time a monster! Twice the power as recomended by microsoft.
So here i am, 3995 euro's in the minus, waking up this morning. After 14 hours in the quei, still in the que.
