I really like the Hound and Fox; they're wonderfully talented. And it was really good to hear the whole story of the song but...I'm a bit biased toward men's voices when it comes to sea shanties. I'm sure there were some highish tenors in the crews, but I'd bet dollars to donuts that most of them had lower pitched voices. Shanties just seem more visceral when done with all male voices.
