Amazing rifle. I shot a one hole 5 shot string with some German 168 grain 7.62. Coincidentally if you put the protective ears of the front sight on the shoulders of a silhouette target at 100 meters then align the peep hole and front sight post at the center of the target, it will have a tight group!.... love this rifle.

Use to carry it back in the late 80's in boot camp it was heavy and uncomfortable and when we get assigned to our permanent unit we got the galil shorter version. It was lighter and more easy to live with.

Saw a review in a issue of Guns &Ammo and they ran over a Galil, over the receiver 1 or 3 times with a truck and the weapon still functioned and fired perfectly!!!😮😊

I was in the Irish Defence forces reserve back in the Eighties, they were conducting trials to replace the FN rifle, the armourers wanted the Galil but for political reasons this, never happened the Austrian styer was adopted instead.

I had no idea how short the half life of tritium was until I watched this short. I appreciates that. I’ll be sure to either use more radioactive material, or paint them every few years with the same stuff I use on my crank baits. Which is inherently more effective and sensitive to all light, not radioactive and cost me next to nothing to put on any stock or aftermarket sight of my choosing.

The external dimentions of the cases are identical. the only real difference is the case wall thickness. which requires the reloader to reduce his maximum load for a .308 win case by 10% if using the NATO case. Ive reloaded both and fired either in my bolt guns and find no difference, so essentially other than the wall thicknesses, the cases are the same.
