At the time when Blancpain was busy developing the first true dive watch – the Fifty Fathoms came before the Submariner, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise – triple calendars with moonphases were all the rage. In the 1950s, it seemed liked every company had one in their portfolio, including Rolex. Today, you could say the opposite is true. Dive watches are everywhere while Blancpain is one of a smaller group of manufactures with a complete calendar and moonphase still in its line-up. It's been a topsy-turvy 60 years and a lot has happened.

Readability cannot be sacrificed to aesthetics. Nothing worse than a watch you have to stare at for seconds on end to simply tell the time.

The finish on the movement is really Vacheron level if not better...

when I see the date not fitting the dial color composition - I click next. the BP should really start working on their movement and their other parts of the watch ... like its not acceptable that the inner disc come all in white... for a rich Russian it maybe does not matter but for a watch collector that knows this is a serious defect, and a prove that the movement is outsourced its simply no go.
