I actually had a deffered medical in October this year because 10 years ago when i was in highschool and college i had depression so i put it in my medical application but havent struggled with mental health in at least 5 years. Now i have to jump through a bunch of hoops but im glad it wasn't outright denied because i probably wouldve just given up. Instead now im meeting with a psychiatrist once a month until he can confirm i dont have any issues.

If this whole auto denial bullshit does end up going through, you can find AME guides on most conditions on the FAA website that list what documents/test will be requested (at minimum) that you will need for a special issuance. I'd show up with those in hand and pray
