From the Northeastern Academic integrity Policy:
Cheating: The University defines cheating as using or attempting to use unauthorized materials, information, or study aids in any academic exercise. When completing any academic assignment, a student shall rely on their own mastery of the subject.

Examples include, but are not limited to:

1) Unauthorized use of aids such as but not limited to notes, text, the Internet, artificial intelligence, chatbots, cell phones, etc. to complete any academic assignment.
2) Copying from another student’s current or past academic work.

In particular, we may not use ChatGPT on assignments. Even debugged ChatGPT code is still "using" ChatGPT and is academic dishonesty. Write the code yourself!!!!!!!!! thanks :)

I've been wrongly accused of copying a homework assignment before, because the TA noticed that a certain subset of students answered a certain problem "incorrectly" the same way and assumed they all copied off of one another. Upon closer investigation, I found that my textbook provided a slightly different version of the question than my TA's textbook, even though they were the same edition, which explains what happened. True story. Makes me wonder if the author deliberately put that in there to throw off graders.

What a great educator you are, a few seconds to show with a memorable example (i.e. vivid emotions) why ChatGPT is a waste of time. Chapeau!
