Clara Lieu was an Adjunct Professor at the Rhode Island School of Design from 2007-2020. Her artwork has been exhibited at the International Print Center NY, the Currier Museum, Childs Gallery, the Davis Museum, and more. Lieu received an artist fellowship from the MA Cultural Council, has written for the NY Times, and lectured at Brown University, the NAEA conference, and in Vancouver & China. She has been profiled in Artsy, Hyperallergic, KPCC, & WBUR.

Prof. Lieu, I can top that story. We adopted an older child from Sikkim, in the Himalayans. Her first reaction to Colorado's mountains was along the lines of... cute! LOL

The point in life where my artist struggle meets Art Prof video. I love being out in nature, & it has been so healing in my life. I would love to have art flow from going out to experience nature. But I know I do not like 'ordinary' straightforward realism landscape final outcomes. Prof Lieu's statement that landscape painting does not have to be boring drew me into watching this video. I found the stream of example landscape based artworks shown to be valuable.
