What Hulu's Bon Jovi Documentary Left Out Of The True Story

A five hour documentary shouldn't leave anything out, right? Well, despite being four episodes long, Hulu's new Bon Jovi doc doesn't go as deep as it should. Here's what else they could have included.

Did you think the documentary did a good job covering the story?

Take a drink anytime Jon says "I" or "Me" 😂

I agree that more musicians should have been on the documentary expressing the influence bon jovi had on them. That would be so interesting. I love that theyre sharing their 40 yr career, but i would've liked to see more about their personal lives. We also should have seen and heard more from Ritchie. However, im a die hard fan, also for 40 yrs, and i still listen to them all the time. Mostly the music up to 2013. Ritchie left an enormous catalog to share with fans. Forever memories. I also watch the R&R Hall of Fame performance a lot, as it was the final time they played together and they were great. After this long story i wanna say the documentary is great. Ive watched it twice

How about us struggling Jersey boys wondering about Springsteen and Bon Bon not paying any property taxes?

Either way he should've finished the tour! There had to be some bad blood with that!

It's essentially a puff piece. For anyone who has followed the band, there are no major revelations. Save for the part about Sambora taking issue with the direction of the band with Shanks as producer. Frankly, Access All Areas is far superior to this.

The camera loved him-for better or worse

Let's be had a bad drinking problem and that's what led to him leaving. Jon was sick of it and so was everyone else including his wife at the time Heather. For him to say he was missing his little girl is a joke. Also the band was big a hit in the 80's with the album Slippery When Wet and the band Ratt was big back in that same era. Grunge was just that, grunge. No comparison

Is HuLu now considered a source for creating quality documentaries similar to HBO’s reputation and Netflix or just pandering. Not a band considered influential or with more than a couple of hits.

Watched it in its entirety last night, including the George Floyd garbage toward the end. Yes it was a bit “one sided” and it just goes to show how we put people up in a pedestal when it should be about the music. It’s ALWAYS about the music. And, for the record, my favorite album is 7800 Fahrenheit…….that’s MY Bon Jovi. Peace.

How about what you left out of the video? For instance, he co-wrote with Ritchie, but wouldn’t put his name on the credits. He wanted it to appear as if he wrote all of the songs himself. Same reason he didn’t have Desmond Child on. Bon Jovi also screwed Skid Row out of their publishing, only giving it back after it became public and he made them sign an NDA.

When you make your own doc- you can do it your way- 🤪
Nah I didn’t need to see more than what was portrayed-

Documentary as a whole, seemed like an ego driven narcissist talking about himself for hours. Band members seemed humble, down to earth.
