Great video! (That's the Chilean palm (Jubaea Chilensis) it's the only non-tropical palm and also the southernmost in the world)

You missed Cajón del Maipo, a different commune from Santiago. It is the southern entrance to the Santiago mountain range, there is everything. It is a Europe because of its similarity

you made good use of your time and did what you could. you're right about the plaza de armas as a window into the country, and santiago's is a window into a new, multicultural chile, as most of the people you see there are recent immigrants from peru, venezuela, haiti, colombia, ecuador, and bolivia, in addition to the many colorful locals.
