6 Things About The Incredibles 2 That Make Absolutely No Sense

14 years after the original Incredibles, Pixar has done it again with the Incredible 2. While children will enjoy watching the movie and following all the action, adults cannot help but analyze scenes and pick out some of the plot holes. While the movie has a lot of great highlights, there are a lot of moments that make NO SENSE when you really break them down and analyze them. Let’s go through these moments now.

The film tries to take aim at several social issues including body cams, the media, and feminism. It just seems like they throw an idea out there and then dash away to the next scene. The Screenslaver makes sense as a villain, but she is far less impactful than Syndrome was in the first movie. Syndrome pushed the limits and actually felt like a true threat. The heroes are often blamed for the chaos and destruction seen in the film, but they never blame the villains, especially characters like the Underminer. Jack-Jack pretty much steals the movie with his vast collection of powers, but why is he the only character with multiple powers and why does he have so many?! The opening scene of the Incredibles 2 picks up right where the original left off, but we are not left with a satisfying ending like we should be. A post-credits animatic even increases the frustration with the villain. Some of the minor characters in the film seem to be added in just for plot convenience including some new heroes. Watch to see all these moments and more as we dive deep into The Incredibles 2!

What did you think of The Incredibles 2? Does it stack up to the first?

The main problem is ....the fact that the kid in the bike is missing

If you watch the deleted scenes of the first Incredibles movie, it is said that supers are not allowed to breed with other supers, sure they could breed with regular humans but if a super breeds with another super, the result could be catastrophic, Jack Jack is that very result

Highly unlikely Honey will ever be seen on screen. The part that made her role funny was the fact she was off screen. Bringing her on screen would take away a lot of the humor in the bantering.

Jack Jack has multiple powers because he hasn't grown into his final powers yet. It was addressed in an interview, don't remember when.

Screen Rant, this is why Jack Jack has so many powers.

His name.

Jack Jack = Jack of All Trades
Violet = Ultraviolet Light (invisibility), plus violet force fields
Dash = He's fast.
Mr. Incredible = Incredible Strength
Elastigirl = Elasticity

The kids don't have superhero identities yet, so the names are their identities.

These points seemed forced. Yeah the screenslaver had a bit of lazy writing but there are plenty of characters with multiple powers. Most of the dead supers that syndrome killed had many powers.

They didn't defeat the underminer because he's voiced by John Ratsenburger and need to have him in the third one

1. I agree with your assessment on the antagonist
2. The guys at the bank mention that everyone has insurance stuff that would pay for villain damages. Since the Incredibles put their nose in, the insurance wont pay for damages
3. Edna mentioned while Bob was dropping him off that it's normal for super babies to have multiple powers, but their bodies will eventually adjust to only one.
4. The underminer escape was (probably) to show how rusty they are. They havent done any super hero stuff for like 15 years
5. This is just a personal opinion, but the extra superheros are probably to show that supers have continued to be born even after the ban on heros and since this movie focuses on the Parr family, the new heros are probably in jokes or parodies of marvel/DC characters

If you’re only argument for seeing frozone’s wife is “she’s black” then stop right there. There’s no legit reason for her to be onscreen as the joke involves her being off screen.

Well, I mean Violet have 2 powers... maybe it all depends on a type of person Jack Jack will be

Edna said that super baby's tend to have more then one power. Jack jack was a rare case where he had a lot more then usual. When he grows up he'll have fewer powers.

Just watched the movie and its worth to wait 14 years for this but they better make an Incredibles 3 that will put together their families full story and capability

Stop saying screen slavers goal was to get super heros banned her goal was to permanently get them hated and make the public feel that supers arent needed no matter the situation

When a baby vs a raccoon is better then any action scene Marvel or DC has created.

In the first Incredibles there is a bonus track that had a short film called "Jack Jack Attack" this scene is all about what happened while Violet and Dash snuck into the airplane with there mom to try to go save Bob. Kari was baby sitting Jack Jack and played Mozart for him once she started playing it Jack Jack started doing all his crazy powers. Then in Incredibles 2, if you noticed when Bob took Jack Jack to Edna the next day she said that the baby liked Mozart and it had to do with all his powers.This why I think Jack Jack had so much powers, cause isn't Mozart supposed to be great for brain development for young minds like Jack Jack?

Anyone else want to see a short film about what happens with Edna and jack jack during the night she was babysitting him?

The thing that screen rant fails to realize about complaining about Jack-Jack’s powers is that all the kids real names reflect their powers in someway:
Dash is speed of course
Violet is ultraviolet rays which are invisible to humans
Jack-Jack is a jack of all trades so his abundance of superpowers is logical and great storytelling/character development.

With the point of Jack Jack's powers, we should realize that a lot of heroes have more than one powers. Violet has invisibility and force fields and some people can say that Mr. Incredible has super strength and enhanced durability. There was also a scene in the first movie that showed multiple Supers having two or three powers.

While Jack Jack does seem to have a lot of powers, there might be a downside to them and that's his limited control over them. His powers seem to be tied to his emotions so he probably can't just use any one power whenever he feels like. They can only be activated during a situation where he is stressed or emotional.
