I don’t understand how you guys like this book 😭😭 it’s giving mid ass wattpad writer and authors and fans who romanticise the… themes? Shown in it? Like?

The second book is really really different than the first book and you will quickly realize it once you started 😅 I personally liked the first one better but the second one wasn’t bad either

this is just a glorification of stalking, rape, abuse.

Just finished the second last night and while yes it was WAY darker with on page violence, it was surprisingly easier to read than the first for me personally.
Both were a lot easier to read than the novella that ties in😅

I have to make a statement about this because it disturbs me. I guarantee 100% that if your precious Zade Meadows didn't fit into your beauty standards, you would be marketing this as the creepiest horror book of the year. For those of you who aren't aware, this book is all about a young woman/aspiring author being stalked by a guy who's a hacker. From the beginning of the book, H. D. Carlton tried to manipulate us into liking Zade by describing him not only as handsome but as a man who murders sexual abusers. Zade then goes on to stalk a woman, break into her home and rape her. It's excused by the fans, however, because they say Adeline wanted it. Saying the victim was asking for it is one of the most common ways that rape is normalized in our society. As a victim of sexual abuse, I wanted to read this book to be able to form my own opinions on the scenario but seeing countless people online say that they want something very real and very traumatizing that I, along with countless other women, have actually experienced to happen to them (only by an attractive man, though, of course) upsets me to no end. I wasn't able to finish the book as it was far too upsetting.

TL;DR: Zade Meadows is not hot, he is a sexual abuser and this book is very disturbing

I’m having a hard time finding similar books. I loved The hostage, anything by Ruby Dixon, berserker’s series. Any recommendations? I love this genre and level of spice lol.

Haunting Adeline is an intensely spicy read, so make sure you’re comfortable with its themes, as it delves into sex trade and has some very dark, dominating elements something I personally enjoy if that’s your taste. The storyline is captivating, and I’m eagerly anticipating the rest of the series because I need to know what happens next! Haunting Adeline is edging close to being my favorite book of the year. For 2024, though, keep an eye out for Sex God: Uriel and Den of Vipers—they’re my top three picks!
