Klopp Slams Pickford’s Tackle & Gives Van Dijk Injury Update

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was left exasperated by the decision to rule out Jordan Henderson's stoppage time goal for offside on Sadio Mane following a lengthy consultation with VAR (video assistant referee) technology, as a pulsating 'Merseyside derby' with Everton ended in a 2-2 English Premier League draw at Goodison Park on Saturday.

Klopp also expressed his frustration at Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford's collision with Virgil van Dijk, which saw the Liverpool defender have to leave the field of play in just the 11th minute, and the German said the potential injury caused is "not good".

I'm old school, I grew up watching Billy Bremner, Norman Hunter . I'm not a Liverpool fan either, but that tackle was one of the worst I've seen for ages. And by the wording of Liverpools statement yesterday makes me think there might be repercussions.

So when someone is offside, Anything goes after it ? So i could kick someone's head off and say " Oops, Well he was offside anyways right ?" No harm done.

The guy should have gotten a red card, offside or not. It was a horrible tackle that could have broken his leg and ended his career.

Chelsea fan here and when it comes to football ⚽️ Liverpool are our rivals. I felt like Liverpool were just seriously unlucky. They had a goal ⚽️ disallowed, and that Pickford tackle was absolutely disgusting and I can’t believe that Pickford didn’t get a red card for it. Liverpool should have gotten a penalty for that tackle. Even as a Chelsea fan I think Pickford should have been banned. That was extremely dangerous from Pickford. SMH. Jesus so over Liverpool players, manager and fans going on about VVD injury and the VAR like they never injured anyone or got the rub of the green with VAR. no one wants to see a player injured but liverpool like other teams have done their fair share of bad, miss timed, late, reckless tackles over the years this happens in football, also Liverpool love it when their players show aggression and fight, look at Robbo and VVD they have both dished it out over the years but god forbid if someone dishes it back..give it a rest. People saying their season is over is also disrespectful to the team, if mr top manager Klopp does not have a good cover its his fault for playing only VVD for what like 89 game in a row and not giving anyone else a chance to develop...
