Props to the Tabby Star Technocracy for pulling off the "dust cloud" camoflage system

You're the only guy I take seriously when claims like this are made.

I appreciate that you present the information without sensationalism, and have the perfect balance of healthy skepticism and an open mind on these types of topics. "Here's what is theoretically possible" versus "here's what I have decided that it is/isn't." You're a level head for these conversations!

The clustering stuff really gives me chills. Because this is what I've thought about for a long time. We should look for clustering we usually don't see elsewhere. As I think that even a more advanced civilization would tend to first slowly, then increasingly faster cluster out. Why go out really far if you have enough stars around you. And I guess, you usually have. So it seems logical that we would see clustering that might even seem to originate from one specific system. So other than some natural phenomenon causing such clustering, it feels like the best area to look at.

Absolutely wild! 1. The clustering 😱2. The tidbit about the laser emission from one star…tabby star, that just happens to be a cosmic array hit. That’s got to be the universe playing tricks on us.

Lol imagine, we not only find alien life but find it HYPER ADVANCED and it's EVERYWHERE

The cluster in distance and type of star is very compelling. If they are truly Dyson structures I wonder if they are bustling with activity or maybe fully abandoned by a lost race or maybe some ancient extraterrestrial AI maintaining them for energy. Very interesting! Great video!!

Can we see these clustered candidates on a map? Like surely, surely if they are all in one zone there's a clear network-like structure, a biosignature of a sort in that way. Patterns.

8:36 The coincidences and oddities around that star are approaching such a level that one has to think a deeper, concerted effort to look at it is warranted.

One or two coincidences I could happily dismiss, but now?

I feel like we need much more scrutiny and observation to definitively rule this one out.

My money is still on natural phenomena, but we can’t simultaneously say “we haven’t found any signs” and then IGNORE potential signs.

Woah, now this is interesting, didn't see this coming

Okay, 53 makes sense if they’re randomly scattered throughout the galaxy, but clustering suggests one of two things, aliens or these anomalies aren’t so anomalous.

I LOVE that episode of Star Trek: TNG episode. It's the first time I ever heard of a "Dyson Sphere".

Did Dyson use the word "sphere" specifically? I always assumed that "sphere" originally implied orbiting bodies, and was later misconstrued to mean solid body. And now we're stuck having to specify "swarm" if we don't mean the dumbed down Star Trek version. Is it wrong for me to say "'Sphere', in accordance with Dyson's usage of the word"?

Even though I'm skeptical of the viability of dim red dwarf stars for harboring emerging civilizations and the existence of Dyson spheres, I'm all for studying these stars. Even if my skepticism is 100% correct, there's still lots of interesting stuff going on, and exoplanets around dim red dwarf stars are MUCH easier to detect and study than exoplanets around larger and brighter stars. If my skepticism is wrong, so much the better.

This feels silly but I actually love how you end these videos with the stretched out "liiiive". The little chuckle it gives me is the perfect way to cap off the videos.
