When using the thermal imager on reflective surfaces you can get a higher than normal feedback.

When I inspect heated mirrors I place a piece of painters tape on the glass and measure that.

I ha e had the newer snapon diagnostic thermal imager for awhile now and i cant put in to words how much it helps with electrical diagnosis and diagnosing misfires. You get a crystal clear image of what is happening in real time to see modules failing, heater elements not working properly, and cooler or hotter exhaust temps for misfires. It has saved me so much time in pinpointing issues. Well worth the investment.

At a $1000 purchase The Snapon thermal needs a hard shell storage case instead of a cardboard box.

Cheers

Is there a library or images ? I would love that.
Is there somewhere that I could see normal acceptable temperatures of components?
