RetroBat - Guidance for using MAME and how to add it to RetroBat

In this video I show how to add MAME to RetroBat and also give an overview of MAME, such as guidance on ROMsets, versions, merged vs split etc.

RetroBat is a great, free application that can turn your Windows computer into a retro gaming entertainment system.

Simply download and install then play pretty much every console, computer or arcade system that you can think of. This install is a self contained to a single folder, so you can even run it from a USB stick and take it with you.

Hey sir nice videos. I have a question, a couple of games that i have for example: pocket fighters and mario bros won't play on the mame on retrobat v6, both of them works great with mame v0.139, but I don't know how to add this additional emulator to retrobat. Is there a posibility to add this version also?

Great tutorial, thanks! But how to save highscores in mame with newer romsets?

I have an old 0.78 romset running on the libretro mame2003plus core, which has no problems saving highscores. Unfortunately quite a few games are missing sound samples. Sound issues are mostly solved in newer romsets, which is why I want to use a newer romset.

Hi I have a question regarding RETROBAT. There are games that require particular emulators such as mame or pcsx2 and others. When I click in the game it says emulator not available to download? I click on yes and it starts downloading very slowly after which it freezes and gives me an error and this applies to all the emulators I download. In practice it doesn't download a single one. Solutions to the bottom line? I had version 6.3 and updated it to 6.4 but it still doesn't download them.
