Something you can do with the cheaper lead foil covered or silver painted casting lures is to dunk the bare body in clear 2 pack epoxy resin before use and it keeps the coating from coming off. Some of these lures only last a day or two before the coating comes off. If you have any that have already lost their shine and are just down to the lead you can dunk them in the epoxy then sprinkle some silver glitter over them, let this dry and then another dunk in the epoxy and your lure is all good again and will stay good.

Hi, I'm wanting to start sea fishing with a spinning rod and lure like in this video, but I'm not sure what strength braid or shock leader to use? I would like to catch mackerel and some other fish, nothing crazy. Great video and thanks for the advice 👍
