In this video I show how you can build a nice little cross-platform Terminal User Interface (TUI) in Golang using the tview library, and we even show how to make it concurrent and fetch some data from the world wide web in the background to display in our terminal.

Enjoy!

Hi Sig, I wish this tutorial existed several years ago when I started using this library. It was pretty difficult for me to understand the basic concepts, and I wrote some awful code at that time (basically, all the application logic went into just one file). I love this library, and most of the utilities I create are basically terminal based, with one option to be used as a CLI command (that can be used in automated processes), and an interactive TUI where mostly the same functionality is provided but where the user can play with the results.

Thank for your videos, there is always something interesting to learn from them.
bye !

Is that Editor setup vim? it looks much more helpful than some of the other setups you usually see.

Can these sorts of terminal apps be used to enable users to signup for websites (terminal based signup form) and can these be used to download and install / configure software to a users machine (with their permission)? - thanks for the vid - will need to study it as I'm a newbi!

I started watching this video, but the voice sounds fake, like AI, or digitally altered, like an adult trying to sound like a child. I’m sorry but I can’t listen to it. Perhaps if we could see the person speaking, even just for a few seconds during an intro, that would help.
