People saying these Celtics ate not battle tested seem to have forgotten that this core has been grinding out 7 game series for years leading up to this season

I like how they literally said this last year about the nuggets

This is the nba. There’s no such thing as easy. Every single dude on the floor is one of the 400 best athletes in the world. People love to hate on what they could never do

They won 64 games. Went 37-4 at home, 27-14 on the road. 41-11 against the East, 23-7 against the West.

“Not being battle tested” homie. They been to the ECF past 5 years. I think there pretty tested. Bout 150 playoff games under the belt for there Jaylen brown and Jason Tatum and some of the roster.

You can’t blame them. The goal is to beat whoever is in front of you and that’s what they’re doing.

As a Celtics fan sure we had an easy two rounds but we were the best team in the regular szn 🤷‍♂️
At the same time we didn’t deal with butler and Mitchell for the rest of the series…

Mavericks faced two out of three teams that don't have much playoff which was the Thunder and the Timberwolves. Plus played the Clippers without Kawhi. So they kindoff also had an easy path to the Finals.

Has everyone forgot that the Celtics have injuries as well? KP has been injured all playoffs and a 38 y/o Al Horford is our starting center... This is Brad Stevens proving he's one of the best in the game at building rosters and Joe Mazzula being a great defensive coach.

Everyone talking abt injuries making the path easier. I’ve heated every single pundit in the media saying how the porzingis injury makes them think the Celtics won’t win and they still do. Why do injuries to excuse losses count for every team but the celtics

Usually the 1 seed has the easiest part to the finals. Jimmy Butler’s 2023 Heat were not the norm for an 8th seeded team!

As a Celtics fan, I can admit that we are getting it so easy right now

I was expecting Andrew to shit on the Celtics but W video. Yeah they have had injury luck (besides losing KP themselves) and if Knicks win game 7 they will have that luck for another series. Its a part of the game though i mean they can only play who is ahead of them. Like Nuggets last year. I'm sure whoever they face in the finals will prove if they are legit or not.

The Celtics can’t control who they face. It’s just unfortunate that the teams they’ve faced so far have dealt with injuries. You play whoever is in front of you. They are the #1 team in the East & the team to beat for a reason so I’m not buying that “easiest path” BS.

Didn’t they play 82 games before the playoffs? Didn’t they win the most games this season? Didn’t they win the East and Home court because they were beating teams from the west and the east all season?

I think most people say this because of injury. No jimmy butler or terry rozier for Miami and no donovan mitchel for half the series in Cleveland, it kind of makes sense. And heck, if the knicks win, they don't have randle, Robinson, anunoby, etc.

Whatever path they have they EARNED it. Their top 2 players play hard all season unlike other teams resting guys often to save them for playoffs. So they’ve earned this seed and this current position. Don’t want to hear about this or that when it comes to injuries because you can go back in time and question basically every single title that had some fortune with it.
