Managing your workspace is a function of personal choice

A beginning strategy is to confer with your boss and immediate colleagues on issues that enhance individual and group workspaces. Factors to consider are lighting, acoustics and air quality; desk and storage/filing space; ergonomics and access; privacy and personalization. Creating a comfortable environment can enhance your productivity and possibly reduce strain and stress of working in a confined yet open space.

Like I said before, Office Space was not a movie, it was a documentary. I remember working with a bank branch manager that was the basis for Lumbergh; talked slow, did nothing, coffee cup glued to his hand 24/7 and only came out of his office to check a few cabinet drawers to see if they were locked or remind people of the obvious. Yyyeah. ☕

I used to work in a small county and made friends with a govt worker. He too, was an outsider like me. He was very outspoken and would not hesitate to call out his co-workers (all locals) on their b.s. So, they eventually moved his office to a tiny upstairs attic. He once told me that even though his co-workers were unable to fire him due to him being a govt a way, they had still "won" because now he was kept tucked away in a little corner. So depressing.

Hilarious part is when Milton didn’t get a piece of cake like last year and when the camera was pointing right at him he doesn’t get mad that he didn’t get any cake he just has that blank stare and says “I can set the building on fire” lmao 😂 he is even a funnier guy in real life. It was an honor to sit through a Question and Answers with him and Gary Cole aka Lumberg.
