Miso mushroom pasta recipe below

1 box (16 oz) pasta of your choice
2 packs of mushrooms (I used 4 oz shiitake and 3.5 oz beech or brown beech mushrooms)
1 cup reserved pasta water
2 tbsp white miso paste
3-5 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 tbsp unsalted butter
Salt for seasoning
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (add more if you’d like!)
3 green onions, finely diced
1 tsp sesame oil

1. Cook the pasta in salted water according to the package instructions.
2. Before draining, reserve 1 cup of the pasta water and set it aside
3. Drain the pasta and set it aside.
4. Clean and slice the mushrooms (I only sliced the shiitakes, but prep as you prefer).
5. Heat a drizzle of cooking oil in a pan over medium heat for about a minute.
6. Add the mushrooms and sauté until lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.
7. Season with a pinch or two of salt
8. Add butter and minced garlic and saute for a minute
9. Pour the reserved pasta water into the pan.
10. Stir in the miso paste and mix until fully dissolved and well combined.
11. Add the cooked pasta to the pan and toss to coat.
12. Turn off the stove and garnish with green onions, grated Parmesanesan, sesame oil.

You saved a ton of money and got to the same point in life. CC is a great path.

I took that route and saved so much money, now I’m at a much more expensive college but with most of my degree completed already! It’s really nice and also CC let me stay home with family for one year which really helped adjusting to college and adulthood

I love this message. There are young minds that need to hear things like this on social media. Thank you.

I made more friends in community college than university. If you’re from a small town, like <10k people, community college really helps with the transition to a big university. I went to an SEC school right out of high school and it did not go well, the amount of people was overwhelming and I was not prepared for classes because public school was very easy for me. I ended up going to community college and then to a smaller state university and graduated with no debt and am doing well in my career.

Community college is great, a few near my friends actually offer bachelor’s in nursing, which many of them opted for and saved 85% of what they would have spent at a traditional college

Though I could afford a university and had a good GPA, I went to community college to transfer as a theater major and it gave me more time to prepare for college auditions than I could’ve done in high school!!!

In California, community college is free for at least 1 year. Many communities offer a second free year to students from high schools in their area, like Long Beach.

I feel this way- I’m graduating this year and because of personal stuff I had to really change what I thought my graduation was gonna look like. I transferred schools so I had to redo the 11th grade to complete this schools grad requirements so I had felt really bad about being another year behind my friends who had already gone off to university. And while I love academia I don’t love tests and grades so I’m going to take a gap year to work and do an intensive second language learning program instead of going straight into university to hopefully help me bounce back from my burn out

I feel so safe and understood in these comments❤, I felt alone most of this year being the only person who took a gap year and decided to go to community college after but seeing so many of yall makes me know for a fact I will make it and it isn’t so bad, thank yall😅

What's important is that you had a plan. Its only daunting when you find yourself floating through life with no idea what's next

This is literally what i did. I did all my gen eds at a community college and then transferred to my dream school for my major courses. Only ended up spending 2 years at my dream school which was super expensive and saved a ton of money
