Tracks: Educating Rita Theme and what I call the closing theme
which is a variation of the same.

The former is a good piece of music, very reminiscent of 'Hymne' by Vangelis. The latter is very beautiful and moving, set to the final scene in the move, where MIchael Caine's character has become persona non grata for being a pisshead and is shipped off to Oz.
Rita passes, they hug, she moves on, a new life for her, a new life for him.

The music in this film is so much a product of its time, that it could only be from the early eighties. No film ever benefited from such a lovely soundtrack as this. David Hentschel's work is immediately identifiable and unique. Loved his production with band Renaissance, from their 1979 masterpiece 'Azure d' Or'. Great things in music to be sure! 📚🎼🎵🎶
