Had a 2006 Jetta TDI, one of the worst cars I’ve ever owned, always breaking down and there was always something going wrong. The mpg was pretty incredible but any savings were more than offset by the cost of repairs.

I dont understand why people hate on this car so much. Repairs are expensive because garages are nothing but scum. Ive had this car die thrice on the highway, different mecanic everytime, charging me ridiculous things like a new intake manifold when the problem was nothing more than a REALLY clogged air filter (previous owner did not mention it). I bought myself a VCDS cable and just did my own work on this car and it runs completely fine. Im more surprised at just how far people are willing to neglect whatever is driving them around....

Nice weather in Ottawa lately to fart around outdoors. Looks similar in the Dot...right on.

Audi A4, 2004, 1.9 TDI, PD(pump duse injectors) engine, 160 000 miles, bullet proof engine, 600 miles to the tank...and it's a CVT, it has a shudder at low revs, but its been on the last 12 000 miles.
You want the PD engines before 2005, no DPF (diesel particulate filter), no adblue system for noxes.
