Those guys always asking me for a cracking the code style close-up might dig this. Leave a comment if you want more of this kind of video.

My pick here is a Gravity Tripp 3.0mm from EGM Distribution Australia

I have been using Chris's picking method where after hitting the first note, rest the pick on the next string for an instant, so the next note you hear is the pick leaving the string rather than approaching and hitting, and so on across the strings, it's really great technique, slowly getting the hang of it, he shows this technique in the "I am a viking" solo lesson. love it.

I’m encouraged because that’s PRETTY MUCH what my position looks like. Thanks for this.

This guy is a real deal, I was advised to read his book and it does have a lot of value is you want to increase your speed. But so far I borrowed it from my friend cus Im broke

One of the thing that amaze me more is how we all have a different way to hold a pick, to place our hand...etc.

Hi Chris. Good stuff! I don't think I've ever witnessed your playing from this angle. Now I know you don't typically use 2WPS as much as you used to when you were younger, but it would be great to see some of that. I am very interested to see when you change your slants: if it's when you arrive at a new string, when you leave, or if you marry it with your rotational picking motion and gradually change it as you play on the string in anticipation of the escape.
Thanks!

It looks like your pick bends as it plucks the strings. Am I wrong? That seems surprising to me because you mentioned that your pick is 3mm? Crazy fast!

A downward reststroke each time you cross to the lower string

I am a beginner of 2 years trying to build up some speed and have a question which seems to be highly debated. It looks like you attach your palm to the bridge and move your wrist in a clock motion when changing strings. Is this correct? Others move the arm slightly down and up to get the same pick attack on different strings. Do you have any comments or suggestions about this? Thank you.

Its the downward pick slanting movement and the licks you are playing ends up in upward stroke to get down stroke in another string… kinda malamsteen style. Am i right????

A top view of your picking motion would be really helpful to understand

Are you rotating your arm or moving your wrist or both?
