what are your memories of Toon Disney?

I'm so thankful for this video Cartoonguy. Appreciate you. Toon Disney meant a lot to me in my earlier childhood years (especially from 2001-2004). I started watching Toon Disney the tail end of the 1998-mid 2002 era (around late 2001 or so), and even tho that era was responsible for the birth of Toon Disney, imo, the late 2002-mid 2004 era was my favorite and the height of the network imo, plus, the 2nd logo was my favorite with the colorful bumpers at the time, it looked so badass and fit the network perfectly imo although the first logo was good too. So many One Saturday Morning favorites while you still had the Disney Afternoon shows on at the same time from the previous era.

House Of Mouse, Recess, Pepper Ann, TaieSpin, Timon & Pumbaa, Chip n' Dale, New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Madeline, Gargoyles, Aladdin, Little Mermaid, Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Garfield, Buzz Light Year Star of Command, DuckTales, Goof Troop, Hercules, 101 Dalmatians, Sabrina: the Animated Series, Filmore, The Weekenders, etc. and much more. The list is too big! Blocks like Princess Power Hour, Hangin' with the Heroes, Chillin' with the Villains, Friday Night Movie and Double Feature Fridays (which was similar to Cartoon Theater from CN), and of course, the early Jetix era (similar to Toonami from CN), I say early Jetix era because it felt more like a block on the network starting out before it took over the schedule in its later years, and speaking of that, yeah...

I agree, late 2004 into early 2005 was the beginning of the end of Toon Disney, the logo officially revamped to look more like Disney Channel at the time, many Disney Afternoon & One Saturday Morning programs were removed with the exception of the most popular ones remaining, and current running Disney Channel shows started joining the network that could already be seen on Disney Channel itself, when Toon Disney was originally for reruns of Disney properties that were already over and couldn't be seen anywhere else. Jetix started taking up more hours, and by 2006, Jetix took over more than half of the schedule, which led to the creation of Disney XD in 2009 to merge the remaining Toon Disney and Jetix programming into one.

I find it ironic that the 1998-2004 period of Toon Disney, the prime & peak of the network imo, ran concurrently with CN's Powerhouse era from 1998-2004, so that time period when you could switch between Cartoon Network or Toon Disney for loads of cartoons jammed packed on those individual schedules, no era of animation on cable television has come close to that greatness ever since.

It's funny, I grew up with the later years of Toon Disney since I had it during the mid to late 2000s, but because I was a frequent visitor to their website, I have nostalgia for all the promos and TV show intros they had on there for quite a while (in the best quality you could get with Internet video circa 2004)

I got into Toon Disney before I got into CN. For awhile toon disney had no ads, only promos for shows, it was magical.

I’ve missed Toon Disney since it was taken off the air. I’m still disappointed that not all their shows are on Disney+.

I grew up with Disney XD, but yeah Toon Disney was definitely much better. They aired a lot of Disney cartoons, amazing content and scheduling. Really great channel for what it was at the time. And nice they aired some of the stuff they aired during The Disney Afternoon

i know im commenting on this a year late, but i was born in 1997 (26 will be 27 in september of this year). I started watching toon disney in the fall of 2001-early 2002 at the age of 4 so that were my fond memories of the channel. However, i still remember my parents trying to bar me from Jetix when it came on to the scene in the mid 2000s due to it being so much more for boys than girls. I do miss it along with Noggin as well. Surprised a lot of people my age vaguely remember this channel

Speaking of Toon Disney I wonder if Extreme Ghostbusters (A sequel series to The Real Ghostbusters, based on the movie) aired on there.

Toon Disney died when Jetix took over the entire channel in 2006.

Yeah, Toon Disney was pretty much the Cartoon Network of Disney, and channel I'd frequently watch as a adolescent.

I *tuned out* of the regular Disney Channel in 2002 trying to figure out where all the cartoons went🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
