FOOL FOR A PRETTY FACE (LIVE) - STEVE MARRIOTT & PACKET OF THREE

Let's raise a glass to commemorate one of the mightiest blues rock crows the world has ever heard and seen - Steve Marriott! After having started out as a child actor, he'd become a psychedelic mod with the 'Small Faces'. Then together with Peter Frampton he'd started 'Humble Pie' and with that lot he developed into a true berserk on stage - you'd never know what he'd do next. And even though in later years he'd be doing things in a smaller way again by returning to the stages of the pub and club circuit, his pipes were no less impressive and he'd even improve his guitar playing considerably. This particular line-up of the 'Packet Of Three' included Jim Leverton on bass and Steve's old campaigner from the 'Humble Pie' days, Jerry Shirley on drums. "Fool For A Pretty Face" is taken from an appearance at London's 'Camden Palace' on January 1, 1985.

I'd discovered this show on VHS in a small but great record shop in Berlin and asked the shopkeeper about it. He said "If you like Steve Marriott, you'll LOVE this video". I bought it on the spot and it has remained one of my best-loved concert videos of all time. Enjoy!

Astonishingly good track, my favourite one from this DVD. Never get bored of listening it. Such a good sound from these three guys.
