I know why the cage bird sings is a phenomenon book, it was a college book for my
older brother but all 8 of us had to read it and write a book report on it. My father was
a very highly intelligent man and he said knowledge is power, it’s something no one can
ever take away from you. We had one room that the whole wall was a bookcase and
for generations everyone has read those books and wrote book reports for my mother
to read. 3 generations have been educated from what was in our home..
