I'm just happy that there is more competition being offered. It pushes all the manufacturers to be better.

The Tesla superchargers alone give Tesla a huge advantage

Hey I like the competition, but there needs to be a model 3 or model y opposer. When they get up to this price range it has such a limited customer base I feel it doesn't matter to the majority.

Roadshow's always had a bit of an underlying bias against Tesla, but to go and call this car a Tesla killer when even the guy running the company has REPEATEDLY said it's not intended as a Tesla killer, and with that price it wouldn't be, is just laughably sad.

I wish i could give a slap to every source that claims another tesla killer that turns out to be garbage or scam

I'm confused. This lucid company has been delivering cars for how long? I heard this Tesla company has been delivering cars since 2012 or maybe a little before that.

Everyone is talking about Battery and range which is awesome. But what about Braking, suspension, chasis, and steering components? These cars are heavy. So the wear on the suspension, and steering especially driving on bumpy roads is greater. And with all that torque and speed you have to couple that with darn near a performance braking package and please don't say the car has Regen braking. When you punch the accelerator and then need to emergency brake to make a maneuver you need great components to facilitate that. These cars are too the level of BMW M5, Porshe GTRS, even Lambo Hurran or Aventador or something and look at the braking and steering on those cars. The need to step up the game especially at this price point of 144k.

The interior and the fit and finish of the Lucid seem to be on another level. If it comes to market it will certainly be a solid competitor.

Except for Lucid has a grand touring version at 800Hp and a dream edition at 1K HP and Tesla has.... that's right.. crickets.

It's competition in a growing market, which is good. In my opinion the Lucid looks like better quality overall, so I would get that over Tesla, if I could even afford either of them :D

I would also factor in the interior of the lucid air. it seems like it has much better materials and a lot more space. Both of which are important because the way I drive (lots of miles) a comfortable place to be is important. Based on that I would probably go for the Lucid.

Weird that build quality and materials selection aren’t even touched upon here.

When Lucid sells and delivers 1000 cars call me. Lucid "claims" this or that... None of it's real... Yet.

Availability ... that is the most significant factor now, if a choice is being made based on current specs.
By the time Lucid has the Touring available for sale in 2 years ... the Model S could be better on all specs!

Why didn't you talk about the Autonomous driving pack that the Tesla has, and Lucid seems not!

Tesla Killer Maybe in 15 years when they catch up on everything else. I'm all for more options etc but yea calling it a Killer is a bit of an overstatement
