I am a new yorker who goes by there often and those long peices of wood floated around like paper, but in reality they are really heavy, because i had to dodge falling ice from sky scrapers before and i kid you not. They fell like paper like in the video until they hit the ground with a crash.

There was a woman who did something similar from a condo in Toronto, Ont., Canada a couple of years ago. She threw a plastic lawn chair off of her balcony, just missing some pedestrians, she was arrested, and charged criminally.
