HOPE Global Forums 2016 - Emerging Africa

A different story on Africa is unfolding. Beyond terrorism, disease, and volatility in oil and gas prices, has emerged a focus on the African economy and its new role in the global economic model. With opening remarks by former President of Nigeria Goodluck Jonathan, a breakout session at the 2016 HOPE Global Forums | Annual Meeting led by Sean Cleary, Chairman, Strategic Concepts (PTY) LTD; Adrienne Klasa, Editor, This Is Africa, Financial Times; Ambassador (Dr.) Robin Renee Sanders, former U.S. Ambassador to Nigeria, Ecowas, and Republic of Congo, and CEO­FEEDS Advocacy Initiative & FE3ds; and David Gacheru, Deputy Head of Mission, Kenyan Embassy, examined Africa’s role in the global economy, existing strategies for accelerating progress, and emerging investment opportunities. This new community is a platform to extend the engagement and dialogue around this topic.
