I saw this vid on twitter first, and felt the need to express some thoughts about this:

Because of it's trajectory the moon is getting away from the Earth. This means, one day it'll be small enough in the sky that there will never again be a full solar eclipse ever again.

Also, bc the universe is ever expanding, the light from distant stars will stop reaching us at a high enough energy level to be visible in the night sky. So our descendants might one day look up at an empty night sky and maybe not even wonder what's up there.

My point is, cherish this wild time of marvels, wonders, and chain restaurants. New things will come and old things will go, but the time we have right now is special, because we're here to share the complementary bread with one another.

This song honestly makes me really happy, there’s a kind of unappreciated beauty in all of these small pleasures we have today. Someone from the renaissance could never dream of a restaurant just giving out bread and water for free, or anyone just going and opening their own successful restaurant on their own. The average person today can experience more than any king throughout history, and I think there’s something beautiful about that.
