I hope EU law makes a physical gear selector mandatory. Imagine having to pull up in reverse in a hurry due to traffic and not beeing able to hit drive again. Tesla is to cheap for two stocks now. Its all about money and it’s honestly embarrassing

Not having stalks saves $200, not having a head up display saves $200, removing front passenger seat's lumbar support saves $200, not having a power front trunk lid saves $200, not having leg movement operated power rear trunk tailgate saves $200, Tesla might as well remove the rear passenger seats since some people don't even use it that much. I have test-driven the 2023 Model S with similar buttons on the steering wheel. When the wheel is in a turned position, can't even find where the turn signal buttons are. So stupid.

Swipe as gear selector is horrible.
Also the alternate touch panel.

Try it after entering your Tesla when it really rains.
It wont work.

A stalk can be operated by mucke memory.
Get in the car, foot on breaks, one pull to drive.
Very easy can’t done wrong.

Now you are in a pinch. Soaking wet, swipe, swipe swipe. Nothing.
