Motion sensor Connection
A motion sensor, also known as a motion detector or motion-activated sensor, is an electronic device that detects movement within its detection range and triggers a response, such as turning on lights, activating alarms, or recording video footage. These sensors are commonly used in security systems, lighting control, and automation applications to enhance convenience, safety, and energy efficiency.
Motion sensors work based on various technologies, including passive infrared (PIR), microwave, ultrasonic, and dual-technology (combining two or more sensing methods). The most common type, PIR sensors, detect changes in infrared radiation emitted by objects in their field of view. When a person or object moves within the sensor's range, it detects the change in infrared energy and activates the connected device or system.
Connect Wiring:
Turn off the power supply to the lamp circuit at the electrical panel.
Identify the wires for the lamp's power supply (usually black/live wire) and neutral wire (usually white).
Follow the wiring diagram provided with the motion sensor. Typically, you'll connect the live wire from the power supply to the sensor's "line" or "input" terminal and the lamp's live wire to the sensor's "load" or "output" terminal.
Connect the neutral wire from the power supply to the neutral terminal on the sensor.
Thank you
