Someone: *hurts a member*

S.Coups: *"so, you've chosen... death."*

I mean, you can't blame the guy. He grew up with his members, he watched them grow from young kids and teens to adults and respected gentlemen. They're his family and no one messes with the familia.

cheol: "the members are more important to me than the agency is"
members: "can we remove our leader instead of the food?" 👁️👄👁️

What happened yesterday is another moment to add to this:
On 6 Aug, four members of svt had a flight to Canada. They were crowded at the airport by fans.
Aug 7: the rest of the 9 members fly. Before that time Scoups posts on weverse telling carats to maintain order today. And yeah, there were almost no fans crowding to get close to them. It looked so much better. They were able to freely move with plenty of space and not having to keep their heads down because of all the cameras flashing in their faces
Seungcheol is a powerful leader who knows when to step in, when the fans go to far, and how to protect his members

He stole the agency’s grapes to feed the boys when they were trainee, asked the staff to let two members go to the toilet at music award, casually giving cash to members etc. He’s the type that never keep it in or let it slide if he needs to.

He's the strongest leader for 3rd gen ISTG. Their own agency is constantly destroying them, the haters, lots of program mistreated svt, but he manages to protect and solidify seventeen to be one of the best boygroup ever. All of the members are so solid, so freaking talented, they stand on their own feet. Not even a carat but damn, this group is on another level.

This man is the reason why mingyu's bullying scandal is handled well by the company and dissolved. Scoups will do everything for the members because he is right and im proud of him.

I honestly think the reasons why Seventeen is still an oustanding group till now are bcs of:
1. Great producers who REALLY love to produce music
2. Passionate choreographer who is also perfectionist (so all members are now great dancers)
3. Strong and fearless leader (not afraid to protect the members from anyone or anything)

To summarize everything: the members especially the leaders (woozi, hoshi and scoups) are the backbone for svt’s succesful career.

Idk why tf he gets so much hate and called the worst leader when he is the best one out there

This is what we call a Leader, he’s not afraid of anything when it’s comes to his members 👌🏾

We Stan a good leader

Pledis have good leaders like JR, and S.Coups. Once JR also said that " Talk bad about me I don't mind it but not to talk about members. " Best leader award goes to both of them.

Seriously whenever I saw lists of kpop boy groups' best leaders I've never seen Scoups' name on them and it's frustrating because I can see how much he cares for the members and it's really admirable I love him so much
Edit: ohh😮 I never thought that this comment would blow up..really thank you all for 2k likes🤗✌

"The members are more important to me than the agency is"

KING SHIT. In all seriousness, good for him for being so assertive about what he wants for his group. He's clearly a wonderful person.

Another addition:

He demands necessities too. Like new dorm or another dorm so they won't have to squeeze themselves in one small dorm. More cars for his members to be comfortable whenever they have scheds. Even demanded a studio (probably Woozi's studio) (edit: Woozi has a new studio now which he requested himself..but when they weren't still acquired by Hyb3, he has a cozy studio in which the members frequently goes to to hang out). He demands all of this from Pledis Vice pres. He always attends every pledis higher ups meeting concerning SEVENTEEN or anything related to SEVENTEEN even though he has nothing to say so he can inform his members in advance, and so he knows what the agency is up to.

He's just overall very much reliable. He's strong and firm too. Thinking how he really chose to step up despite not being used to being the big brother since he is the youngest in his family, and he was not supposed to be the leader, makes me admire him even more. His resolve, and the way he's not afraid of anyone if it's to protect SEVENTEEN and the members is just so wholesome. SEVENTEEN and Carats are indeed very lucky to have him as our general leader, I hope he knows that. 😭💕

Edit: I also remembered that he suggested for Caratbong V2 to be brighter (by means of "brighter", literally bright BRIGHT like a newly charged flashlight 🤣) since concerts usually end at night, Carats can use it as their lights.
And this Caratbong legit saved a Carat during China's typhoon. The fan got rescued because the light from the Caratbong got spotted by the rescuers. 😭💕

Another thing:
One of the very obvious thing why he is a great leader also is how his 12 members respect him A LOT. For example, when they were shooting a reaction video for their MV, the members kept talking over eo and it became so chaotic, but the moment he went "Shhh" they all went silent.
Another thing that's great about him is how he always makes sure that the members get to talk/have their own screen time or never get left out whenever they have shows or any other activities.
An example of this was during Caratland 2020, when they were sharing some TMIs, he noticed Jun was silent so he gestured to Jeonghan (who was the MC then) to let Jun talk. He does this a lot of times.

He also has this authority towards the staffs, like gesturing them to do this... Or to do that when they're shooting. I just know their staffs respect him as much as the members do.

Also...
If you watch his Hit The Road (SVT Docuseries) episode, he said there that he hates being strict but he has to do it for the group. However, despite being strict at times, he's also more like a big brother to them rather than a leader, he even said he acted more like a younger brother to his members. He added that he wanted to be a friendly leader rather a strict one. He even stated that he feels like he is also getting lead by his members... And which for me is how a great and outstanding leader should be. You don't just lead, you also allow yourself to get lead, and learn from your members a lot rather than imposing your authority and not giving them the choice but to follow you. As what they said, great leaders are great followers too. That's him, Choi Seungcheol of SEVENTEEN. 😊

Edit: OMG This is getting numbers 😭💕 Please give Seungcheollie and Seventeen lots of love 😭💕

I'm adding some more...

- He is also very affectionate towards his members. Recently, we all know Jun and Minghao is separately promoting in China, whenever they post on insta or weverse, he will comment "I miss you" "I miss you a lot". He also asks them to video call him when they have time.

- He hates it whenever Carats call him by his full name because for him it feels like we're being distant. He considers us like his family, scolds us, compliments us, encourages us, telling us that we are important... He also said something that I will definitely remember forever,
"You may have another idols, but we only have you." That's one of my greatest motivation in supporting them.

- He goes on weverse after the charts in kmusic sites (melon, genie, bugs, etc) freezes and will post words like "You've worked hard Carats, thank you. I will be sleeping now"

- The whole Caratland respects and treasures him a lot, just like how he respects and treasures Carats too. 💕💕💕

Edit again: I'm so sorry if this is getting longer... Since a lot of you are still reading this. I wanna add more things.

- Recently, two(?) Carats randomly bumped into them in a restaurant while Han and him were having a meal with their manager, according to the carat, Cheol probably noticed that they kept staring at them. Cheol and Han left before them, but when the two Carats were about to pay, they were told that Cheol already paid for their food. 😭

- In a video fansign, a Carat said that she does not have any self confidence or that she's pretty insecure, so Cheol told him that she should love her self first because other people who cares for her, including Cheol himself will be hurt if she belittle herself.

NEW EDIT... I see that a lot of you are still giving this positive attention. Thank you so much. I'll be adding a new one as what I can remember:
- During trainee days, he stole some grapes from the agency because the members were hungry.

- I recent video fansign, a Carat expressed their gratitude for Scoups, thanking him for being SEVENTEEN and Carats' general leader, and he said in return "Thank you for being a Carat. You are the best, Carat" 😭

- if I remember correctly, one time, a new Carat apologized for stanning them late and he said something like, It does not matter if you became their fan early or became a fan late, what matters is that you found them. (The members always say this too, "You will find SEVENTEEN when you needed them the most" .... I am a proof of that coz that's what happened to me 😭💕)

- He has this nickname made by Carats that you'll find very endearing for some reasons, we call him, SULKYCOUPS 🤣. It's because he sulks a lot, he gets jealous easily, and will act like a baby. Example: whenever his members and Carats failed to greet him at exactly 12 pm kst for his birthday, he'd get sulky 😂

- His episode for their Docuseries is very heartbreaking. If you watch it you'll definitely cry. He was crying too... He said that he felt very apologetic to Carats for "running away" (he was talking about how he suddenly took a break in the middle of their concert tour because he could not get on the stage due to his severe anxiety attack :((( Jeonghan too had to take a break with him, basically the 2 oldest 💔). He said that it's already very hard for Carats from abroad to see them in person, so him not being able to be there to see Carats made him very apologetic. Even though Carats actually are very much thankful and happy that he chose to take care of his health rather than push himself. I bet he knows that too.

- One thing that makes him the best leader for me is him choosing to step down when he felt like he could not do it anymore. He did not force himself and did not allow himself to break any further, rather, he trusted his members that they will be able to pull it off very well without him for awhile, and trusted Carats that they will surely understand his circumstances. His trust for his members and Carats is what makes him even more brilliant.

- Another little but very endearing thing he does is checking the backseats at their concert venues to test for himself if Carats from the backseat can see them from there...and what needs to be done in order to make them feel the bestest experience they can.

- There's also a video of him noticing an LBTQ+ flag waved by a Carat (I think that was during KCon? I'm not too sure when was it, probably around 2018 or 19), he pointed at it and did a thumbs up. 💖

- He also (actually all of SEVENTEEN do) reminds Carats to be kind and not to engage in fanwars.

- So we actually have a bestie fandom, the Monbebes. Monbebes and Carats are close because of MonTeen's close relationship...and also because of Cheol telling Monbebes that he loves them and MonstaX so he hopes they'll get along with Carats because they get along with MonstaX too. 😭💖

EDIT AGAIN (thank you for reading this and giving love to Seungcheol and Seventeen):

- There are fanvideos of him during concerts asking carats about the time to make sure Carats from far can still catch up with the last train and so Carats won't have to go home super late at night (considering concerts are usually done at night). This is also the reason why he suggested the Caratbong Ver2 to be BRIGHTER.

- In his latest interview for a mag, he stated that he wanted to give lots of attention to Jun and Minghao and stand as a parent for the both because they recently just came back from their families in China, and unlike the other members, both Jun and Hao's parents are far from them, they can't be with them even if they want to, so he wanted to be the source of strength for both of them, and at least in a way can fill the void.

ANOTHER EDIT...IT'S GETTING SUPER LONG ALREADY, I'm sorry in advance:

- during a fansign event, he asked a Muslim Girl Carat for permission if it's okay to touch her, and when she nodded, he patted her lightly on the head/cheek.

Hello, another EDIT, really thank you sm for reading this up to now:

- During the latest CARATLAND (The offline one held at Jamsim last March), A Carat stated that right after they're about to take a short break, Cheol would run to the big screen at the side (where they are usually shown) or check with their staff to check if it's visible enough for Carats sitting far from the stage.

The more I go back in the Seventeen timeline, the more I see how much they depended on Scoups. Whenever they play a game, they choose him first, they can trust him and they feel safe with him. Scoups leadership inspires me and leaves me speechless.

i feel like people outside the fandom might see scoups a different way because of how competitive he is on gose but i hope they know that scoups is such a caring person and he’d really do anything for the members and love them so much

edit: i’m glad people see him as a gentle and caring person :)

I realized why he’s more different than other leaders of idol groups.

I realized that other leaders of idol groups don’t have that much “influence” on the actual group's “necessities” and what I mean is that the leaders' main job is taking care of the members well being and leading conversations during shows when the members are shy.
Compared to other big groups like Treasure from YG or Nct from SM, S. Coups isn’t under a well-off company nor a good company with an endless amount of staff that can take care of every member’s specific needs and do all the burdensome work for them.

The fact that he’s the only leader in a 13-member group and talks to his agency to demand better treatment for his members is more responsibility than a normal idol group leader is asked to do. He carries so much when he’s not asked to and that’s what makes him so admirable.

He was only 20 when he debuted but at that young age he took responsibility of 12 more people who are all younger than him. He had to grow up himself and take care of all of them. Probably become more mature than anyone would be at his age
