I use a lot of EQing and compression on my percussions. The sample itself doesn´t matter that much. If you´re good at using compressors, I think you can make any drum sound good. I´m not saying I´m a master at it, but I think I´m getting better with every new track I make.

i heard this piece a while back and i have only just looked it up :P i found the original and thought there was something off about it, then i went to the annotation at the end and this is the one i remember - some nice nostalgic feels from this one! great work!!
